Sunrise

You wanna sound off but you can't find the words to
Nothin' makes sense in the way that it used to
Can't find the plus in the positive thinking
The well's run dry and you're not done drinking

Clouds start comin' and the sky will fall
Clock stares back from the bedroom wall
Now you're breathin' just to make it through the night

All you need is a sunrise
Just a moment of dawn
If you're lost in the twilight
Close your eyes and move on
When you're tired in the waiting
Even though it's gonna take you
A little more time
Just a little more time the sun's gonna find you

Holding your days like a stack of paper
Then you're chasing the wind as the pages scatter
You can save a few but you can't get 'em all back
So get out fast with your heart in tact

Find yourself on the very edge
Lying awake in an empty bed
Now you're breathin' just to make it thru the night

Tied by a Thread

Came across these articles talking about youth and their potential.  Our society trains us into thinking that we cannot do anything big.  THAT IS A LIE.  Youth can have a huge impact on the world around them.

We must not allow ourselves to be forced into the mold the world has made for us.  We need to live for God.  We must do HARD things.  Since it is not required of us, we will not do it unless we want to.  So let's not be tied by the "thread", let's break loose.

Here are the two articles.

Shattered Dreams

Dreams

Shattered across the floor

Of your life

Scattered through the field

Of your thoughts

Splintered into pieces

By your head

Crushing the spirit

That brought you to life

Causing the tears

To flow from the heart

Watering the earth

Beneath you

Looking for dreams

To continue

Dreaming, looking, daring

For something

Something not of the earth

Out of the mind

Something, dare said

Heavenly

Yes, Spiritually stimulating

For dreams to continue

Dreams are sown

To prosper and grow

To take the place

Of dead dreams

My Own Backyard

And there are far away places
That I would like to think
Keep all the world's suffering
At a safe arm's length
But I can't keep pretending
When I only have to look as far
As my own back yard

-Geoff Moore

How long do we think we can keep the suffering of the world out of sight tucked away where only those who experience know about it?  Do we deny the suffering in the world?  Not only by our words but also by our actions?

How often while walking down the street do I ignore the dirty man sitting alone on the sidewalk?  Most of the time I don't even make eye contact with him.  I just walk on by not thinking twice about someone else but about my own comfort.

I Dare You to Move

Welcome to the planet
Welcome to existence
Everyone's here
Everybody's watching you now
Everybody waits for you now
What happens next

I dare you to move
I dare you to move
I dare you to lift yourself up off the floor
I dare you to move
I dare you to move
Like today never happened
Today never happened before

Welcome to the fallout
Welcome to resistence
The tension is here
Between who you are and you could be
Between how it is and how it should be

Maybe redemption has stories to tell
Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
Where can you run to escape from yourself?
Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna go?
Salvation is here
